In 1958, with the aim of supplying milk and dairy products to the capital’s population, a facility was commissioned in Bayanzürkh District of Ulaanbaatar, equipped with technical equipment from the USSR and European countries based on designs developed by Soviet experts, with a daily processing capacity of 30 tons of milk. In 1985, the building and equipment were upgraded, and a new facility was established in the current Songinokhairkhan District. This expansion enabled the production of triangle milk, bottled yogurt, curd, dried curd, and ice cream.

After the developmental stages, the market transition period began, and in 1991, under the privatization policy, the dairy factory became a joint-stock company predominantly owned by the state. During a time when production had decreased 34-fold, Suu JSC experienced a wave of renewal in its history and was fully privatized in 2006, marking the start of years of investment. During this period, a pure-pack packaging line was introduced at the factory.
