The Khuree Tsam–Danshig Festival 2025, a grand celebration of Mongolian religion and culture, was held in full ceremonial splendor at Khui Doloon Khudag, where Suu JSC, Mongolia’s oldest national manufacturer, proudly participated by offering a variety of milk and dairy products to festival-goers.
The origins of this sacred and cultural festival date back to 1639, when Undur Gegeen Zanabazar was enthroned as the first Bogd Jebtsundamba Khutuktu, the spiritual leader of Mongolia. In recent years, the event has evolved into a unique cultural tourism experience, showcasing Mongolia’s rich religious and traditional heritage.
This year’s festival was celebrated on an even grander scale, featuring:
A wrestling tournament with 256 strongmen,
Horse racing including traditional speed and gaited races,
Traditional sports such as ankle-bone shooting, archery, and seer tsohikh (bone-breaking contest).
